POLITICAL CULTURE

There are generally three types of political culture that are recognized by political scientists:

1. Parochial political culture: This type of political culture is found in small, traditional societies where people are not politically aware or active. Citizens in parochial political cultures are often uninterested in politics and do not participate in political activities.

2. Subject political culture: This type of political culture is found in societies where citizens are politically aware, but do not participate in political activities. In subject political cultures, citizens are aware of political events and issues, but feel powerless to influence them.

3. Participatory political culture: This type of political culture is found in societies where citizens are politically aware and actively participate in political activities. In participatory political cultures, citizens are involved in the political process and feel empowered to influence political events and issues.
